Ok ....I'm kinda new to this forum and just learning how to find the necessary info that I'm looking for on here. I just received the maurader stock from Mistic Precision for my 10/22. The Red field 22 scope I had on the gun before is to long and won't fit now because it sits on the stock sites. My question is ....I need to find a mid ranged price scope for it but not sure if I should go with magnification or red dot.... do they come with both?? Is it possible to put both on there? ( one of each ).. I'm more familiar with the traditional scoped hunting guns and kinda new to the tactical look and function that I decided to do to this gun just for fun. Also I see on some of the pictures here that most have an extended bolt handle. Any recomnendations on this as well?? I kinda like the more beefier look of it. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if this info is here already and I'm just not looking in the right area. Thanks out to Jerry from M.P. for the advise on this and for the quick shippment on the stock.

I think you can remove the stock sights so your scope will fit. I don't have any personal experience with a marauder kit but I have heard that the sights are removable.

Personally, I bought a red dot Bushnell TRS-25 for my ruger sr-22. Cabelas has them for $130 (on back order). I think red dot looks a little more "tacticool" but to each his own.

Edit: Just confirmed it, the sights are removable. Check out this Marauder review and go to about 2 min 30 seconds in and he talks about how to remove the sights.

Thanks..... I was so concerned about getting a new scope that I didn't even think about that..it will do the trick for now until I decide. In the mean time I'll keep searching.
