Help with shooting problem

Want to get something with a safe choice. I imagine I would want to stay with a FMJ for feed issues?

Any good brands I should look at? Any good places to buy them?

Out my way its mostly 55 and 62 crap. THanks for the help.

Try to get some Hornady TAP with 75 gr bullets. Or some Federal GM Match with either 69 or 77 gr bullets. To be honest with you for the price of about 10 boxes (200 rounds) of match ammo you can set yourself up with a nice reloading kit.

FMJ bullets are crap bullets and either the Hornady's or Federals will feed without a problem.

Buy a kit and start reloading. I would be surprised if your not glad you did after wards.

Yeah I am planning this, I have all the reloading books, but I dont have a permanent place to mount a press right now. I will have to wait a few months to do this so I wanted some sort of temporary fix with factory ammo until then.

90gr Berger VLD's :p

90 is to much for what I need, plus I only have a 1:8 so it might not stabilize. Would you want at least a 1:7 or even a 1:6.5 for 90 and over? Also arent they hard to seat? Plus I am using an AR with factory sized mags.

Didn't know it was out of an AR so yeah you will have feeding issues

OK all bets are off on match ammo now that we know you are shooting an AR:p This is the Precision Rifle Forum you know:slap:

Now try to find something loaded with 77 gr SMK's. These were designed to be loaded to mag length. 69 SMK's will also work. Feeding will not be an issue.

Ok heres what I can get, what do you think is the best choice for my range 200 yards, barrel length 18", 1:8 twist, stainless and .223 Wylde chamber? Thanks

Remington Premier Match, .223 Rem, 77-grain
Federal Gold Medal Match, .223 Rem, 77-grain Sierra MatchKing BTHP
Hornady TAP, .223 Rem, 75-grain TAP FPD

Yep, you have to try them all to see what your rifle likes. Just because it says Match on the box doesn't mean it will shoot well in your rifle. If you are really lucky your rifle will like the cheapest stuff, but usually "match" and "cheap" are not used in the same sentence.

Yeah I got a case of the Federal GMM to try out. Found some reviews online with similar barrels and same twist seems to be good. Couldnt find anything on the Remington Match ammo.
