Hi everyone,
I need help with this shotgun,
bought new in 2009,in very good condition, i hunted with it for partridges,
pheasants and hare. the reason why i need help, is because since i got it
i allways had the same trouble.3 visit form the local gunsmith and the problem is still there.this rifle is chamber for 2 3/4 and 3 inch.ic and mod chokes. this rifle have two triggers and very often, if you miss with the first shot, something jams the second trigger. So the gunsmith change the safety spring 3 times so far and he dont seem to understand why this problem is still there. i have tried almost every brand of ammo and still the problem is there.DO SOMEONE EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM?
OR CAN SOMEONE COULD TELL ME WERE I CAN FIND A GUNSMITH THAT KNOWS ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS.
thanks, Gary.

I have an uplander in 20ga and I have never had any problems with it. Is there any warrenty left on this gun? You should have returned this gun to the store soon after buying it if it was having problems from day 1

When i bought it,it was a week away from pheasant season so i found the problem during hunting, and then i tried to get it fix here in ottawa and then i did not have time to try it untill later wich meant the warranty was over.

It sure sounds like the safety is coming on after the first shot. Does the gun fire if you slide the safety ahead again? What happens if you fire the other barrel first? Do you have the same problem?

after the jam, regardless of wich barrel shoots first, the safety is stuck and you really have to force it almost with a screwdriver so the other barrel could shoot and then try to break open the gun is very hard. the gunsmith in ottawa change the spring 3 times and still does not work o.k.,he dosent know what to do next.

This a PART quote from one of the Sass fourm (talking about well used SxS

"I just got done at a shoot and my Stoeger coach gun got an attitude. The left barrel would some times fire, then the next reload, it won't. I tried some different shells (none were reloads, and primers were not low) There was no showing of a pin strike on the unfired shells, but good strike on the ones that did... HELP....

The likely problems are:

something wrong with firing pin

- They often get shortened and wont fire reliably.

- Burrs can form that hinder their operation.

The gun may be opening slightly after the first shot.

my thoughts or Safety is coming on after first shot

You could do some reading
ht tp://marauder.homestead.com/shotgun.html

go to one of the western shoots in your area and ask around for who does good repairs

Maybe you should have went to a different gun smith after the first time it didn't work after being fixed.
