Help with swiss arms ID

Handled a used swiss arms classic black today. It didnt say target model on it anywhere but i didnt have the normal rear sight, instead it had some sort of flip up rear sight and the reciever appeared to have a built in rail instead of the normal smooth top reciever. Is this a target model? Is it more or less desirable than the models you normally see?

Yes it is. It's more desireable if you'd like to mount some sort of optic on it.

Its priced at 2699 with a 5 round mag, case, cleaning kit. It appears unfired, so its in mint condition. Is the price out to lunch?

Nope that's a pretty good price for a Black Special Target. Depending on the dollar they can go as high as $3300 new.

Considering the new SA Classic Green is about $3000+ these days, a Black Special for $2699 sounds highly desirable to me.

the only difference between the regular black special and target model is the lack of rear diopter sight and having a railed reciever? Or is there a different barrel?

They have a 1-10" barrel an daside from the lack of the diopter rear and standard hooded front sight, they are the same rifle as the standard Black Special. I have one and quite like it.

1 in 10 twist will shoot a 55 grn bullet just fine.

Standard Swiss service ammo (GP90) is 62gr.

I see theres a regular swiss arms green with a 2x5 mags and a 30 and a 20 mag in the EE for 2550 shipped. That seems like a smoking deal.
