Help with sxs value please

I have this Baikal IJ 58 MAE double trigger
It has hardly been shot, bluing is almost perfect wood has a few small dings from handling. Full/mod fixed
No rust or dents in metal/barrel

Baikals are not known as high end guns and do not hold their original ticket price well.
Most of the SXS models I have seen have gone for about $300 in good shape.

$300 is about $200 more than I would pay for a Baikal, regardless of condition. I'd buy a used Sauer from TradeEx any day of the week before a Baikal.

I have the same gun with well over 25000 rounds thru it. Never had a failure yet. However the forearm is just starting to loosen up when the action is closed. They are great guns for the money. $300 is the going rate

I know more than a few hunters that have used Baikals for years and really like them as well .
i'm not sure what that SXS weighs , but the O/U guns I have used were on the heavy side for my liking for a good field gun .

I have that same model and love it. I did some mods, but it was my go to gun for ~20 years, and I still use it from time to time. You might squeeze an extra $25 - $75 from a willing buyer, but somewhere in the $300 - $375 range is reasonable. They aren't bad shotguns.
 
I kind of like the looks of that 37 that is laying beside the sxs .what you got in mind for her .looks like she needs a new date .Dutch
 
I have been thinking of trying to trade several of the scatter guns i have for one semi auto
I have these two and a camo benelli nova 3.5" 12g and a cooey 840 - 410

I believe the total value for all four should should be +\~1150 which would get me into a decent used or close to new semi auto

I have been watching for a while and now many ppl selling the VR Model 37
 
i hunted with a guy that bought one used for $150. Shot it for a couple of seasons with out any issues, except it was heavy. While shooting it one day, the fore end split in two and he was left with just iron in his hand. i believe he said he glued it together and then traded it in on something new. Check it out, there is lots of junk out their.
