I have an AR I would like to modify but have no idea where to start for parts.
It is a Windham flat top with 20" 1/7 twist FN barrel .
I figured the first thing I need to do is get a free floating handguard and remove the front sight but I am not sure where I should be looking for a handguard and gas block... how do I know which gas block will fat my barrel/setup?
I plan on mounting a nice bipod to the handguard, and installing a better trigger and a nice optic in the 24x range.
Also I was wondering if any of you have experience with the faster twist barrels? What are some good heavier bullet loads that are suitable for an AR15? Thanks.
edit: so i micro'd the barrel and it is a typical .750" ... can anybody recommend a handguard and gas block? What site is the best place to look?
