Help with valuation of a Winchester 94 .30-30 I just received

A pre 64 (True 98%+) cannot be had in the 500 range. I have a minty 1949 (Longer fore-end ) that I wouldn't
sell for 1000. Pre 64's in VG condition 80-85% are available in the 5-700 range.

They can be had if you are patient. It is good that you would not sell your 1949 carbine for $1000 because no one will pay that for it unless it comes with a box and hang tags.
The very good cond. 94's can be had on the EE for $450 to $550 any day. High condition 94's for $650 or so. IMO the OP's gun is a $400 rifle tops.

Hey what can I say. If anyone has one in the box as you describe I'm in at 1000. Original box of course, and long fore stock. I'll go 1100 if unfired.
Lot of Pythons were made, and hey go figure, I am aware of 94's production numbers. I think minty and I mean minty 94's are today's "Sleepers".
