I picked up 2 shotgun presses and need help determining a fair value.
One is a Mec Grabber and the other is a Mec Jr 600.
I also picked up 5 full bags of shot and about 6 half bags. Is the #### still good it looks like it has sat for awhile.
I know nothing about shotgun reloading.
Thanks for any info

A Mec 600 Jr. is worth about $125-150 depending on condition and accessories (extra bushings, auto primer, etc.) Not sure about the Grabber. Lead will get a dull oxide coating on it if it's been a little damp or old. However, it's still perfectly usable. Remember that the wad contains the shot until it leaves the gun so there is practically no lead to bore contact. Don't know what you paid but the shot alone would be worth at least $250-300 if you had to buy it now.

The most interesting part is the shot :) New it is $40 +tax at huminsons. Some places it is $60. No one (ok maybe someone) ships shot, it is just too expensive so you are looking at a local crowd. I load 410 mainly and if the shot is too badly oxidized I won't use it. It causes too many jam ups in the tube. 12ga should be more forgiving.

The 600 Jr you have is the earlier model and in the condition I would doubt you would get the above $100 unless you have a a lot of busshing/shotbars/universial chargebar etc. They tend to sit in the EE for a while as the cost saving of reloading 12ga isn't there anymore. I got a current sizemaster (model up on the 600 Jr) off the EE for $120 and it came with enough components (minus primers) to load 200 12ga shells and then some.

The grabber is nicer but again the demand is low for all 12 ga.
