I need some help with this one. I don't own any milsurps other than a bubba'd Mk4.

I'm trying to get an idea of value.

Yes the stock is cracked. Is $200 too much?

Thanks

I'd pay 200 .. The top wood and hardware would be worth 50-80 (maybe more I don't really know number 1 ) and a cheap haggard sporter seems to bring 150

I was going to take the wood off and shorten the barrel anyways....LOL

I'm actually trying to trade him for a shotgun right now.

I have never seen one cracked like that. I would say $200 would be a good price if the bore is decent. I would love to see if I could fix that.

For some reason it looks like that was a commercial sporter made by BSA. Something about the wrist marking makes my spidey sense tingle. lol

Looks like someone tried to fix it by filling it with glue.

Other then the crack it looks not too bad. It probably can be fixed, the first method that comes to my mind would be to "stitch" the crack by cutting some small slots perpendicular to the crack, and using some strips of wood as "stitches", glue them into the notches, then remove any extra wood from the strips. Although, this does seem like a very intrusive way of repairing the stock and almost might be a bubba, but would be much stronger then just gluing the crack, which has very clearly failed.

A sporter converted to military? That's backwards.
I made the trade though. My beat up old Toz 34 shotgun for this one.

Not really. It depends on what it actually is. Regardless, any full-wood No1 Mk3* is going to bring at least 250+ depending on condition.
