Help with Varmint Rifle Selection

Hello Everyone,

I'm in the market for a new varmint rifle in .22-250. I'm partial to the heavy barrel guns. I've looked at a lot of different guns but can't make up my mind. I really liked the look and feel of the CZ 550. I would appreciate some thoughts on the gun from anyone who either owns or has shot one.

Tried a CZ and had poor groups so traded for a Tikka varmint and Savage varmint. Both give me 3/8 to 1/2 MOA easy. Some swear by their CZ's. I find their actions and clip removal rather binding. Tikka's and Savages have smooth actions. Don't forget the 220 Swift in the remington.

As for the excellent shooting, i pulled it... It was off the truck toolbox with a bipod..

there was a finisher fired, probably not needed.

I meant truck toolbox..each time I tell the story I keep forgetting to say toolbox..

It's absolutely a wonderful box to shoot off..qucik to pull out, and quite light, yet sturdy and contains any needed gear.

Do you see me shoot off the hood, by the way smart guy, if you were as smart as you think you are, you wouldn't think the shot was taken off a hood..
you see the hood no where in that coyote clip..you do see a shakey video that get's real steady at the end. The camera is laid on teh back of the truck..

I love that hunting truck, but I think I might give the new one the nod this year, but who knows... I have already switched out the toolbox..

Depending on the intended use for the rifle, you might want to look at something other than 22-250 for the caliber.

nice shot with the 22-250. I use a 243 but one of my buds uses the 22-250 with good results. Shots over 500 take lots of practice. Nice vid thanks

Thanks for the responses. Is the .22-250 available in the Kevlar stock? The CZ website lists it but the dealers that I checked only list the Kevlar stock in a .308.

Yes it is available in 22 250.. try some more dealers.
