Help with Winchester model 94 carbine value

Hi folks, I’ve had this rifle for some time and would appreciate your wisdom on an approximate value. Only modification I believe is the front sight has been elevated in order to compensate for modern ammo. Additionally the saddle ring is missing but the stud is there. Here is what I have been able to gather:

Model: Winchester Model 94 Carbine
Caliber: 30 WCF
Serial#: 661549 (Dates to 1912)

The sling system appears to be loops, which would be used with a sling with hooks. Factory ordered or aftermarket add-ons? The front sight is a block with a blade. A higher blade has been installed. There doesn't appear to be any alteration of the sight base.
Modifications are important to collectors.

Thank you, yes sight base appears original same with the loop connections for sling
 
The sling loops would have been a special order feature. Vintage Winchester slings were fitted with shepherd's crook hooks to be used with loops.
 
You have a nice vintage carbine that has seen use. Some faded original finish and some patina on the metal parts. The missing sling ring is replaceable. The carbine does not appear to have been messed with. The bore appearance is decent, might clean better.
These days, a 94 .30-30, even a post-'64 brings $700 - $800 at auction. Your carbine has character; I expect it would do better than that. How much more would depend on buyer motivation.
 
I would pay $750 max at a private sale
$650 max at auction due to added buyer fees and taxes....the fees add up fast and make a gun shoot to overpriced ridiculousness quickly

Yippie , another auction..
 
Does a pre 64 made in 1912 have any more value than one made in 1954? If in equal condition.
I see a $600 gun unless the extra years count for something.

It is an earlier model - a Western carbine with carbine butt, saddle ring and carbine rear sight. That rear sight is worth $150 all by itself.
 
The value really depends how desirable the rifle and caliber is for the individual buyer . Two days ago ,I sold a Win. 94 Ranger ( post 64 ) in as new condition for 1150 plus tax and shipping via consignment at a dealer . It was posted for two days before it was sold . Th prices for Win. 94's have gone sky high .

Ok,that understandable.
So because it’s an older model it has few features that adds value.
But what’s the cutoff date that makes one pre 64 more valuable tan another, all condition being equal?
