Hi guys, need help, did a full strip on my gsg1911, and dropped the two little metal hook thingies that effect trigger pull.( god knows what they are called)
Top one no problem but the bottom one scares me..... Cant find a good tube to help in the re-assembly process....... Never going to make a smith like this!.... Any help if you can? Thanks in advance

Yes its the sear and disconnect, tried it every which way!!!!!! Somehow just cant get it right, spring, hammer ect all seem to be in place , but when i fire it, fires ok but wont reset the hammer.......... Damm this frustrating. Three trips to the range, several attempts to cycle, and then drive home for another full strip......getting pretty efficient at dissassembly though..
Thanks for your help so far, any other suggestions?

Make sure the Sear Spring is in correctly, and that the middle leg acts upon the disconnect and the left leg acts upon the sear.

Leave the grip safety out and slide the mainspring housing in part way, watch how the parts work.

You don't have to go to the range to do a function check? Put a spent 22 cartridge in the chamber and pull the trigger. Get some 22 snap caps.

Hi guys , thanks for the help....... The gsg has tow extra pieces uncommon to 1911, The firing pin plunge lever and the trigger bar lever, i think these are the offending items....... Look to be installed ok but just cant getthe hammer reset going......any more ideas? Or has someone with a gsg had a similar problem!!!!!!

actually these pieces are common on a series 80 1911, they are nowhere to be seen on a original series 70

I actually did the same thing you did, went to range, click, and nothing, I put the same parts in wrong, tore it down at the range and installed them correct, you will figure it out

Yes or no, is it assembled correctly? We can't see it from here.

If it is not assembled correctly, then that is probably the problem.

If it is assembled correctly, then there may be a defective part. Replace the defective part.

If you are in over your head then go see a gunsmith.

Members here are trying to help you but there are no pics, we only have the info you have typed in your posts.

Figure out the nomenclature and use it, because "firing pin plunge lever and the trigger bar lever" really is much better than "two little metal hook thingies that effect trigger pull".

It is hard for us to help solve problems when you cannot determine if the pistol is not assembled correctly and pics are not provided so that we can make that determination.
