Hemp rope as scrape?

Anybody has success using hemp rope as deer scrape?

What scent did you use and where you hang it?

Wanna try something new next season.

I've never tried it but NB Wildman did a video on it. I had never even heard of it until I seen the video.

My buddy does it. He mostly gets young bucks playing with it and does will check it out for a few minutes. This was all late October to mid November. He had bucks walk past without checking it as well.

Using buck lure synthetic scent, who knows what would work better.

Hang it close to an existing scrape on the same line of travel no scent needed just scrape up some dirt and pee in it . I’ve heard of guys using rope but I use dogwood vines I find in the bush , once one deer uses that scrape it usually becomes a permanent scrape site

might attract more deer if you just use the whole plant...... they might even hang around longer ya never know

Cotton rope will most likely work better in terms of holding the scent and wont rot is it is hanging where it can air dry. ropeshop.ca has a pretty good selection of 100% cotton ropes
