greetings,
i have a henry .22 lever action and love it. nice action, very accurate. i was surprised. problem-

i can't find out how to dissemble my rifle. i have had it in the rain a couple of times so far and she'll get wet again so i just want to check on her. but i head if you take it apart you can f#$@ up the head spacing?!?! so i havn't touched her.

i have looked on rim fire centrail but theres nothing there (unlike the 10/22- jam master plus!!!);) i had a 10/22 but switched to the henry . more accurate not FTF FTE FTF and more accurate, but i cant get the parts to pimp it out and it's a little slower, and as we know levers arn't really that fun in a prone position but... i love her alot.

so.. can you help me out with the head space and dis-assembly stuff????

side note: i'm not taking it apart to tune the trigger.i love it stock. just to have a look and make sure it's not rusting from 2 seperete days in the days at the range in the pooring rain. i can't say enought about this rifle or the best customer service ever!!! seriously!!! the only thing they won't do is give dissemble instructions.oh well. i can put up with that for such a great gun.:D

If you look on rimfire central under the Henry heading there is a break down schematic posted by "BigLoop 22" who I am pretty sure is Impernato (the owner of Henry Repeating). It's pretty detailed and should take the scare out of taking the action cover off to clean it out. I was impressed as I have heard the same scary stories. Good luck with it, I too am very happy with my H1000L large loop but slow off the prone or not, it's so much fun for new shooters I bring to the range.

greetings,
the only thing they won't do is give dissemble instructions.oh well.

On Henry's website it states if you purchase the custom engraved reciever, they supply you with intructions to swap it with the old one. Have you tried asking them for those instructions?

BTW, I can't wait for my PAL because a Henry Golden Boy is the first gun I'm getting.:D

EDIT: Some one on Rimfire Central posted a scan of some Henry dissassembly instrucitons:
