Henry.22 lever octogon bbl

I have a 1022 and like it but Im lookin fer a lever too. They are both a blast. Mebbe Ill get me a pump too just for the hell of it. Lots around so no reason to do without.
 
Bought the same one a couple weeks back for my daughter's boyfriend. He tried it, loved it and went out and passed his Canadian Firearms course last week :) He came over the other day and put several boxes through the Henry without a single malfunction. Nice little classic looking lever gun that functions reliably from what I see so far.

I have had the regular lever 22 henry for a quite awhile and have shot thousands of rounds through it. It is the smoothest cycling gun I have ever handled period.
There is one downside to owning a Henry (if you want to call it that), that is I felt I just had to have a pump too......:D .. Now I have a matching pair! The pump is also fantastic, but not quite as smooth...still very nice though.
They do have coated recievers of some kind, I found my wood scuffed pretty easy and they do have plastic barrel bands and front sight, BUT when all is said and done the are a good balance of cost and quality (or I would not have bought 2)
Conclusion ...Excellent choice..enjoy.

I emailed Henry about the plastic barrel band hoping that I could weasel a metal one outta them ;) They replied that it's a composite material not plastic so I guess I'm $hit out of luck. Oh well, I tried :rolleyes: :D
