I think Henry started producing the H001 .22 rifle in 1997.
When did the .22 caliber Mares Leg first appear?

They have a suggestion box and if they get enough support they may put it in production. A henry lever in 25/20 would be very nice option

Just in case anybody else was interested. I tracked down the information . Production began in 2011 for the Henry .22 Mares Leg .

The 25-20 is a great, easy to carry rifle here in Southern Ontario. It really shines in those Counties where the biggest caliber for small game hunting is Maxed at 270. For a bit of history on the caliber look up the 'Jordan Buck'. Coyotes aren't going to eat the dog while we're out for a walk when I'm carrying my Marlin 1894 25-20 Win. BUT, I would still buy a Henry 25-20Win to reduce the wear/risk of breakage on my 119 year old Marlin Safety.
