So i picked up a Henry Survival a few weeks back for a Kayaking trip that i will be doing this summer.
I took it out and had a few feeding issues with it and such but i think i worked out the kinks with it by tweaking the barrel chamfer and using cci blazers anyway it seems to work fine but there was one thing that kind of still bothered me.
when i did the initial sight in i had to move the front sight over quite a bit to get it sighted in to the point where the front sight was just hanging out of the dovetail a bit.So i contacted Henry customer service online and explained that the rifle shot ok but the fact that the front blade was quite far over to one side was kind of weird leading me to believe that the barrel may be out a little.Well the customer service rep was super nice and said that occasionaly they do run into this and that he was prepared to send me a new barrel assembly free of charge.I was very surprised to say the least so i offered to send in the old one so they could have a look at it but he said dont bother and that he was shipping it out that same day!
well i got it today! now thats customer service, ok im guessing these barrels probably cost them peanuts to manufacture but hey whatever...
All i can say is Henry definately backs their products and i would not hesitate to buy another one of their rifles!!
