A while ago I purchased a used Henry Golden Boy in 22lr on the EE. I did not take it out and try it for about a month or so.
Yesterday I gave it a whirl with some bulk Winchester ammo. It feeds and cycles fine, except for the last round. The last round just sort of flops around on the shell carrier and is not picked up by the bolt. It’s as if the magazine spring is not quite long enough.
I came home and completely disassembled and cleaned the gun and found no burrs or broken parts. I tried to cycle the gun again and the same issue persists.
Should I buy a new magazine spring assembly and try that? Is the warranty on these guns transferable.
The previous owner told me that the gun did not consistently eject cheaper bulk ammo but this is not an ejection issue nor an ammunition issues as far as I can tell.
