Got this puppy today. What a beauty!
My 1st lever rifle.
I'm really impressed with the finish and the quality of the rifle. The wood, the brass, the barrel, everything. There is not one thing I don't like about it. I can't wait to try it out

And I got it on sale too!! Thanks Calgary Shooting Centre

Might add the big boy at a later date...

It really is a beauty of a gun, craftsmanship is second to none. I just received a new one myself, shoots like a dream. Decided today I'm gonna sell my marlin 336 to help fund a new Henry 30/30.

I have Skinner sights on both my GB and my brass Frontier... I mated them with the Lyman AUG 17 and added Lee Shaver inserts... it is an awesome set-up;

Where did you get those if you dont mind me asking?

On topic... I have the goldenboy and big boy - both excellent rifles. The action is buttery smooth and everyone who shoots it loves it!

I bought a golden boy in 22LR for my son's birthday, works and looks great but we notice a lot of force transmitted to the lever when you fire the gun with a normal load,not as much with a sub sonic load,just curious if others have noticed it. It feels like its not locking into battery and some of the force is being sent back to the loading mechanism, it seams to lock up good but have not noticed this force with any other lever guns I own or have shot. ?? Any thoughts or advice??
