Henry Golden Boy question

A buddy of mine was thinking of buying one of these. What's the good and bad about them?

Great guns. Smooth action, fairly accurate, I find the sights to be a bit narrow. Finger prints on the receiver will drive you nuts!

My buddy has one and absolutely loves it.

No negatives of note to consider. A solid, adult sized lever .22 with smokin' good looks and a hundred bucks less than a Marlin 39A in most places to boot. Eats Longs and Shorts same as the Marlin.

If you can do it man, I say go for it! Those Henrys sure are beautiful. Always wanted to try the big boy in 44 mag.

Best 22 Lever I've ever tried, smooth action, eats any type of 22LR, 22L and 22S fed to it and the iron sights work just fine(well as good as the user behind it anyway)...

...And it's beautiful to look at.

The only downside was that I had to buy and install a QD Stud and swivel set(Uncle Mikes) because the rifle does NOT come with hardware for a sling installed.

I want to purchase the optional brass band for the forestock, you can get it directly from Henry Repeating Arms in Brooklyn NY.

IMO, overall it's a GREAT rifle!
