Hi CGN
Was out shooting last night and brought my Henry. I also brought a few odd boxes of this and that to use up. A 50 round box of thunderbolts and 2 boxes of yellow jackets as well as Winchester super x in the plastic 100 case and the 333 box.
Winchester ammo shot great. The Remington however was a little different. The lever wouldn't close all the way. We figured it was the rim somehow but the rounds would still fire and eject fine. The yellow jackets would just splatter a potatoe it was quite fun.
My concern lies in the Remington ammo and the lever being a little squishy not latching closed. I'm assuming I shouldn't shoot the stuff with the Henry and was wondering if others have seen the same issues with the Remington ammo.
Aside from that if your considering a Henry don't just buy it. It is a wonderfully accurate gun out of box. At 35 yards we hit within half an inch if you do your job with the irons. Great little gun and my favorite .22 so far!
