Henry H001 Front sight solution

With the desire to keep my trusty Henry H001 Lever action authentic looking, a scope installation was never an option (John Wayne never had one on his lever). The existing front sights at 100 mtrs. was just not working as the eye strain was getting uncomfortable. Installed a fibre optic pipe and the results have been outstanding.
HiViz is actually coming out with a FO front sight to replace the current front sight band assembly but no stock yet and if you wanna save $50 here's a great way.

How did you attach it to the post?? Some type of epoxy??


Here is my own solution, a bit more work but happy with it.

Used a grinder and a three corner file to cut a 3/8" dovetail and install a Williams bead sight.
