With the tariffs and potential prohib status down the road, I'm going to bow out of this one.

The same happened to the B&T's APC9 series....that was a very sad day...:cry:
But it seems like Henry go out of their way to make their rifles for markets where semi autos would get banned, take for instance their lever action 5.56, it uses ar mags

Well I dont' know about these new bronze ones but the 3 I have each have about 2000 rounds them and they don't have many malfunctions. I would still prefer some other (now banned) 9mm PCC/s but what you describe has not been my experience.
I will bet you that the Canadian distributor/middleman mark-up to the dealer is more than the tariff.

I have a business with access to distributer and I assure you that the markup at retail is minimal. Actually when I went to buy my third Henry I looked at distributer pricing and realized that Tenda had some Henrys that were original imports and bought there as they were $200 less than the new distributor price.
