I believe this is a rework of their 45-70 gun. Probably made of steel. Hence the larger price than .22 rifles made of pot metal

Question, I know this holds 5 rounds. Do they come with a magazine replacement or some kind of plug for the tube to bring it to 3 rounds for hunting? I ask cause the spring is attached to that lovely brass rod.

You can order a new inner magazine tube from Henry and pin it yourself. Keep the original just in case. They sell for less then $25USD. I phoned Henry and got one, no problem.

These three previous posts sum it up for me. The shotgun looks beautiful, and was quite intrigued when I first heard of this lever-action, but alas it isn't meant for me. Fingers crossed they do a 28GA!

I have a Winchester 9410 with screw in chokes and it is a great little rabbit gun.The 2.5 410 shell actually patterns better than the 3 inch shell so no worry about killing rabbits.They have to use the 2.5 she'll because the action is not long enough to handle the three inch or big enough for the 28ga as they have to use an existing action instead of building a special version for shotgun.

Yup, but they're not that easy to find.
See mostly 3-inchers on the shelves.
The 410 is wimpy enough without being limited to a gimp shell.

I've been waiting for this for over a year. I have to say the cabelas prices make it tempting as hell but that's a lot of money for a .410 chicken gun. I can just imagine the tears in my eyes when I scratch it!

There is another Henry model that I think will be available in Canada shortly that will include screw in chokes with a longer barrel.
