I just called IRG and spoke with Nick. Oddly enough Nick assisted me on my firearms purchases close to ten years ago now. He's always a pleasure to talk to and is very knowledgeable.

The bad news is he advises there is an additional 25% corrupt Liberal Government Tariff that has to be applied to the purchase of any firearms manufactured in the United States, specifically Henry made rifles.

I'll break it down for everyone the best I can below.

Henry Supreme 223/556 - $1249.99 USD.
Cdn. exchange approximately - $537.00.
5% GST - $89.00.
Approximate shipping - $50.00 CDN.

Sub total - $1925.99 CDN.

So this rifle was going to cost us $1925.99, which my wife and I would have accepted in order to buy. But WAIT! The slimy and corrupt Liberal Government that many Gunners voted in are now adding another 25% Tariff on top.

So now, one can add another $450.00-$480.00 CDN on top of this price. This once sweet decently priced rifle is now $2375.00 to $2400.00 CDN to buy.

I apologize to IRG for my rant. They can feel free to remove my post if they like.

The Liberals are doing exactly what they have planned to do all along. Completely disarm all Canadians, make them too expensive to buy, and price firearms and ammunition out of reach for the average Canadian.

I can't imagine what this will do to IRG and their awesome business they have created for us as Canadian gun owners.

Lets not completely derail this IRG post with political garbage. I just wanted to inform the great folks who will be voting Conservative to protect our hunting/shooting heritage that Canada was once built and founded on........:)

Don't count on it. I become very pessimistic about a new Cons government. Their ratings nosedive everyday lately.

Do you know anyone personally who was favouring PP, than switched to carney in the last couple weeks?
