Henry levers

Different models have different sights I believe the Frontier is metal but the Hoo1 basic may be plastic, they can be changed I'm sure.

The Frontier is my favorite if your talking about 22's

I don't know of any plastic sights... my Frontiers, Varmints and GB'S are all steel. Excellent lever action rifles, BTW.

The older .22 ones had plastic sights. Henry srarted producing them with metal sights (including the front hood) a few years ago. The'll even replace plastic sights if you still have them.

Frontier (H001T) has metal sights, no plastic "tunnel" around the front post. They're great little guns! :)

Have the H001 as well, with, what i swear, is probably the best wood I've ever seem on a henry rifle, ever, and I've seen hundreds of them through my part time gig.

They shoot well, and are put together great, but have one small pitfall. The feed ramp, or lack there of, is known to cause issues if you cycle the action to slowly, or in some cases, use the cone headed bullets (remington vipers as an example). This slow action cycling can cause the bullet to fetch up and jamb, cause some considerable swearing and will almost always require a pocket knife or other object to remove it, usually spilling powder all throughout the receiever, wasting bullet and making a mess. The solution is easy through; simple cycle your action with just a little more than slight gusto, stick with traditionsl round nose solid or hollow points, and you'll be fine.

Oh i amd forgot, the plastic sight peice, if you get one that has them, can be replaced with metal ones if you so choose. Barrel band as well, contact henry for cheap upgrades.
