Henry Long Ranger stock split!

Bought my son this Like New Henry Long Ranger .308 for Christmas, finally got nice enough to get out to our range so we could play with all the new purchases. He’s just shooting factory 165gr Fusions when I saw, & felt these creases
We haven’t pulled the stock yet to check further, anybody ever seen this before?

Contact Henry.. they have great customer service.. I called them to place an order after I lost the brass tube for my 22 mares leg in the bush, guess i didnt have it locked all the way or the o ring had come off.. they sent 2 free of charge

I have seen that exact crack happen,they had a long ranger in.308 set up in a Caldwell lead sled,4 shots and she cracked.Those shooting sleds are bad news for stocks ,Ive noticed many different guns do it after being shot in a sled.

Wow! Within a couple hours of emailing Henry, a new stock is being shipped to me. We didn't use a lead sled but my boy is a Big son of a #####

I agree. I wouldn't just bolt up the new stock without trying to find out why the original cracked.
