With my wife's knowledge (but not necessarily consent) I put a Henry Mini-Bolt under the tree at Christmas (OK we opened it two days early since we were down at the farm and this is the perfect place to shoot it). As I hoped, my 11 year old daughter really took to it and in no time was doing great. My 9 year old daughter also was quite successful but more reserved.

The big shock was my wife. She has always refused to have anything to do with firearms (luckily she loves wild game or I'd be in trouble) but she picked up this little .22 and was knocking over cans in no time.

It's a cute little rifle, and when you feed it with CCI CB subsonic shorts it's very quiet. We put about 500 rounds downrange and everyone was very happy. I was very pleased with the accuracy, and the high vis sights made it easy to explain the sight picture to new shooters. So far, no complaints at all about this great little starter rifle.

I put a T/C Hotshot under the tree for my boys. Havnt got to shoot it yet, but the ear to ear grins on both of them have already made it a favorite!
