The fore-end would make it impossible to load and function as the shooter chambered the rounds.

I think the real reason is to keep your hand warm while supporting the bbl haha

It’s a beautiful rifle for sure. It’s amazing to see the varying colour/grain of the stock and receiver. The colour case looks very dark on that example. Does it have packing oil on it?

May sound like a stupid question, but why do these guns don’t have any forearm?

They are a replica of the the original Henry rifle. The small brass tab (mag follower) you see under the receiver moves to the end of the barrel to load and as you shoot it travels back towards the receiver. Modern lever guns do away with this by having either a loading port and removable spring (like most Henry rifles and Browning .22) or by having a side loading gate that you push the shells in. This was the original gun that you load and shoot all week :) Hope that clears it up.
