I mean for warranty
Grech is pretty good with Henry warranty in my recent experiences. Twice I had broken parts and twice they just ordered the parts and shipped them to me when they arrived. I understand the hesitation though as ten years ago I ordered some parts from them and they told me they would get on it and I'm still waiting....
Anyway they seem to have improved service considerably. Anyway, I would get the rifle that you like the most, worry about warranty if the time ever comes.

I bought it for a side project but never got around to it and need the space. I haven’t even taken it to the range yet. Here is what I like about it:- threaded barrel
- short carbine barrel makes it super compact
- the grip angle “feels” much better than the straight stock grip
- large loop is a bonus
If you havent already, you should hold the Henry in your hands to get a feel for it. You’ll be sold. It feels amazing and tight. I have a Marlin trapper and love it. The guide gun hood front sight is just too damn ugly IMHO.
Between those two, I would go the stainless marlin all day. While I haven't shot the marlin 44, but have a few rounds down a 45/70. Lots of different henry models I have shot.
To mix things up a bit, just because, even better I would go the henry mares leg and get the full stock, as long as you are okay with all the brass look. That short, octagon 12" barrel on the mares leg, just a hoot to shoot.
I had a stainless jm in 357 that had problems with lifter. Beautiful gun after came back from Rustywoods

Unfortunately JM Marlins had many issues as well....
(Marlin jam, poor cycling, not being able to use 44 Special ammo)So although I somewhat agree with your statement, it's not completely accurate.
I have owned several JM Marlins that were good, some were junk. I have owned several Remington/Marlins, lot's had issues, others were awesome.
I currently own many Ruger/Marlin rifles, most are excellent, a few 10mm Stainless Trappers required a lot of work to cycle, feed, eject, and shoot properly.....
It really doesn't matter which Marlins one buys these days. It's a crap shoot, and if it's bad, you try and fix it, or warranty it......

Henry's loading/unloading tube is great for dumping out live unfired rounds. The new style with both the loading gate and tube are beautiful. Best warranty of any firearm manufacturer, period....
Ruger/Marlin stainless 44 magnum SBL's, and Trappers are gorgeous. Especially if no warranty fixes are required.......
I have both, could not choose between one or the other. You may want to get one of each brand, maybe different calibers?
We all need an excuse to buy another rifle!........
If you can find a real Marlin (JM Stamped), I would go with that. I 1973 marlin sporter is always a great choice if you can find one. they are around.. Cheers
