Henry Repeating Arms Homesteader For Import

I only purchased a Hi Point .45 and 9mm when they manufactured Canadian legal length rifle. I will do the same if Henry ever comes around.Better ballistics with longer rifle anyway.
I know what you mean about NR being more attractive.

Im not sure 9mm gets better ballistics out of a 18.5” barrel - Some chronograph information suggests there is very little advantage to the extra 2.5”, and other data suggests a loss in velocity.

Here is some good info on the subject. Other calibres, like 357 mag, do better than 9mm out of carbines.

Interesting.

That was the data I had seen previously but couldn’t remember where I had seen it.

Referencing the chart, a few 9mm loads lost velocity while some loads showed marginal gains - like 10-15 fps in a 1400 fps load. That equates to a barely anything .7% increase in velocity.

The governments fascination with trade muskets just doesn’t improve performance in the 9mm Luger… but I’m sure it saves lives because a gang member, say in downtown Toronto, wouldn’t want to be caught committing violence with something shorter, and more concealable because they could lose their PAL or be forced to take the mandatory two day safety course again.

As far as I have seen these current restricted Henry rifles are now available in Canada.

I have my doubts that Henry will make a NR version with a 18'5" barrel to appease the corrupt b@g-lickers, but only time will tell.

Maybe one of the awesome gun-smith manufactures on this Gunnutz Sight will decide to make one.

I would really like a Henry NR Model in 9mm that takes S&W M&P magazines. I would also appreciate the wood stock and fore-piece.

We have fixed the link. This post is from 2023 after the CGN upgrade all the old likes were broken.
