Henry rifles, those have to be the best kept secret....

They are WAY too heavy for a lever action carbine. Some also have issues with weak ejection and the idea of loading shells in the mag tube is retarded. Caramel has lots of nice guns, but I am not a fan of this one!

The 22 mag is a great little shooter, we will se soon if the 357 mag is a great shooter, if not it will be a safequeen if it is, it will be a beautifull rifle on both side of the word... JP.

JP... I am a huge fan of Henry rifles too... I have six now, an H001T in LR, an H004 in LR and WMR, and also the Big Boy in .357 and .44 Mag, plus a .30/30. I find that Henry owners are very satisifed with their guns... They ARE smooth! Fun shooting and amazingly accurate for a lever platform. Most of the detractors have never owned a Henry... And the shooters who own them tend to keep them... You rarely see Henry rifles in the EE.

I will be getting a brass 30-30 and a 44 mag BB, even the non brass 45-70 is starting to grow on me, since my 22 mag is an octogonal non brass version i may buy a golden boy octogonal in 22 mag as well... JP.

My H001T was a blued octagonal barrel, but I picked up a brasslite receiver cover and brass barrel band from Andy Wickstrom of Henry Wisconsin... So mine are all brass or brasslite now. They are my favorite guns to shoot for pure fun... And the .357 and .44 have both taken deer and bear.

Supposed to be awesome rifles (haven't taken it to the range yet or know much about them), fell in love with it while I was on vacation. Had to buy it... appears that they get great reviews, only negative I see is about their weight.

I would have bought one of these long ago , but I never liked loading centerfire rounds into the muzzle end of the tube.

That's always been my gripe with these too. I like a loading gate. Although, feeding through the end of tube appears cumbersome, it is actually very fast.

Another source of apprehension is the continued report of these rifles being overly front heavy.

Beautiful specimens otherwise.

I love my Frontier in .22WMR & Big Boy in .357mag. They are not heavy as has been mentioned. Accuaracy depends on the accuracy of the sights. My Frontier's front sight was off making the poi 4 inches high and right at 50 yards. The Big Boy's sights were bang on. I have since scoped them both.

Henry levers....the most fun you can have without removing your clothes. I am a big fan!

Edit: my .22mag shoots better than the .357mag. But I beleive that to be an ammo issue.
