Anyone have one of the Henry survival .22's? Are they ok for plinking cans?

I need something to get the girl involved in shooting. Cheap small and easy to feed.

I'm not looking for single shots or bolts. Is this little thing ok for cans out to 50m?

Well if your looking for cheap a stock used 10/22 would do it.

Also if it doesn't have to be a semi you can see about a TOZ 78

The Marlin Papoose is cheap and small and more comfortable to hold then the fat stock of the Henry Survival.

I tried for several yeards to tame my Henrys - 2 of them. Too heavy a trigger for that light gun. Cycled ok though. I just sold the last one and switched to a CZ 452 Scout. More money for sure $160+/- more but it is a real rifle that a kid could grow up with.

I have a Henry that cycles alright and can hit pop cans out to fifty feet. For the money however, I'd recommend my Marlin 7000. It can almost put bullets into the same hole out to fifty meters - and maybe more. (I'm not the best shot in the world).
