Henry Survival

It's the barrel that's crappy. Just replace the barrel. Easy.

Before the plastic barreled-Henry, there was Armalite, Charter Arms, Survival Arms, and AR-7 Industries.

Early barrels will fit a Henry.

Looked at the henry rifle. Nice looking might want to get one for myself as I do kayaking and hiking and something light and packs away small would be nice, but thats once I get my self set up with my main .22 if you get it tell me what you think of it and any modifications you did please. but I will follow this thread closely

I'll second the "good" hi vel ammo, the CCI Mini-Mags (in solid or HP) the Federal Champion, The Remington ones too.
The bulk-packed and American Eagle ammo simply doesn't seem consistant enough for the Henry or my 64b.

I found this well looking up survival rifles worth looking at there are 4 different models shown by different companies and they are kinda nice but none seem to compare to the Henry for compact-ability. I've seen a few reviews that say the rifle is accurate and others that say otherwise.
if you look up the history of the AR-7 on wikipedia.org, you'll see that there was a manufacturer that gave them a bad name. it seems that Henry has begun to restore that name. :)
