I posted about this before that I had problems with this sight. I sent it back to Tactical Imports and they said that nothing was wrong . So trying it again and mounting it as per instructions and firing about 50 rnds.
( 9.3x62 on a Tika T3 ) the base of the sight just crumbled and fell off. Any one else have this problem?

The Hensoldt "Deals" don't mean much without warranty support.
I'd be choked to have a supposedly military grade, german made optic that looked like yours..... some of the other problems with battery drain etc are also disappointing.
People crap on Vortex but if that was a vortex sight there would be a free replacement on it's way.

Maybe the Hensoldt's only fit a picatinny rail?

This was mounted on a EGW pic rail. It seemed to be solid but I guess not . I am waiting to hear from TI we will see what they do about replacement as it is useless the way it is.

When the sight was sent back to us it was not damaged and was able to be mounted/dismounted properly. The RSA sight has the possibility to be mounted incorrectly which is what we believed the problem was.

After receiving the above posters email this week we offered to replace with a brand new Shield Mini Sight

All products sold by us have a minimum 1 year warranty

I've never handled one but looking at the picture it looks like an easy to mount optic.... What's the wrong way to mount it?

It's easy to mount slightly canted, but not so as to make it obvious and it still appears to be locked in place square. I always double check mine.
I agree that Hensoldt should've put a crossbar on the mount to fit between the rail slots for added security.

The sight was mounted correct, the material that it is made of seemed to crumble then just broke off. I liked the sight very much and carried the Tika with it on it most of the summer. I shoot at least 10rnds. a week just to make sure everything is as it should be. But after checking it after the last shooting section see first post pic. I thank TI for their support and will try the SMI sight.

I sent my RSA back to TI as I said the dot was way off. Turns out I was not mounting it correctly. So I can see how TI could assume it's a mounting error.

TI did stand behind their warranty on another issue that I had so I do trust they will take care of it.

My experience as well.. TI stands by their warranty!!! Very easy to deal with when I had my issue... it was solid and I was happy at the end.

My only concern in this case is... the one year with no option for repair. I would love to buy one but for that type of cash.... why risk it? You can get an Aimpoint T1 that will be covered for ten years.

Does anyone know which brand of short 3/4" riser They were shipping with the RSA? I bought a few before the riser was included. The one they picked seems to match the optic nicely. Most of the ones I've seen for sale don't look right with the RSA.
