It seems a shame to hide a kimber in a rig like this. A norc on the other hand would rock.

Come to think about it you're right. A Norinco Police model 1911A1 would be economical and a much better choice for the HERA kit

FWIW, there are not any permanent mods done to the gun. Just take off the grip panels

Of course some 1911's really are just too beautiful to hide in a carbine like that.

I guess you could go with a beater Norc

I think many people here are getting too dramatic... it's not like the 1911 is forever changed into this "monster".

It's a friggin accessory; the gun is un-altered.
The only crappy part is the cost of this accessory

It looks like solid range fun.
