Hera Arms CQR Furniture

I have mine on a NEA 7.5" 7.62x39 and another on a 7.5" 5.56, the 7" hand guard fits the forward grip(s) to the mm. Both barrels have muzzle devices to slightly elongate where the flash comes out of, otherwise I think my gloves would have burn holes.

Note that with the handguard pushed up that close to the lower's mag well you can't tilt the upper for easy access to the BCG, you have to remove the whole upper (both takedown pins).

The stock and handguard combo do make the AR-15 platform look ###y. Oddly enough though with such a shortening of the OAL of the rifle you tend to see a lot of magnified optics. Something I did to both of mine also, despite the "CQR" feel.

Too true. :) I did try the handguard forward some so it would tilt but it just didn't look right. I figured WTH, I separate the halves anyway for maintenance and if I really have to get to the BCG it'll only take another couple of seconds.

BTW Tinman, that handgard colour matches the stock nicely. What is it and did you have it ceracoated or did it come painted?

I have a CMMG .22lr conversion kit I like to swap out once my range cost tolerance gets to a certain point. Then swap it back out to blow out the gas tube at the end of the visit. It's an inconvenience well worth the time, effort and most of all, money.

The length of the grip where it attaches to the rail is 7" give or take a 1/16" or so. I have mine on a 10" handguard with a 14.5 " barrel. Here's a not very good pic. I like the look wit a little bit of barrel sticking out. Others prefer 12" and shorter.

If you google Hera CQR stocks and bring up the images there's every kind of configurations you can imagine

i wonder if this will work on a Deryy MK12...

that is very good to know, I dunno I just really like the look. although I don't really like the factory forend on the derya I'll have to see if something else will fit.

I'm not familiar with the Derya but if the receiver tube and the pistol grip are in the exact same place as that of an AR it should fit. If they don't match exactly I can see the CQR not fitting as the stock and grip are one piece designed for the dimensions and the placement of an AR lower receiver.
