Hera Arms

I have a 12 inch Hera rail and linear compensator. Very well made parts. Fondled the upper and lower and a complete rifleand was impressed. Can't comment on their barrels.

Thanks for the feedback guys the matched upper & lowers look good, the price & quality is compatible to the VLTOR but the VLTOR comes with the lower parts kit installed with a buffer tube, buffer & spring. Ok mabe vltor is a better deal; hopefully we start to see these become availible again now that the AWB got shot down.

Im very happy with my Vltor MUR upper, but I've handled the HERA stuff and its absolutely oustanding. Only reason I put in the order for the ATRS lower is that the HERA HCL+ isn't readily available right now (and I wanted the ambi bolt release)

I think their barrels are cut rifled (not button rifled or hammered) so they should be stupid accurate.

I have 2 lowers and 2 more on order. Like most German made parts, they are impeccable

They are 60deg safety marked (not my thing but may be of interest to some )

Pricing is not that expensive consiering the quality of the lower. Less money than some of the other billet lowers on the market

Only caution is some of them ( the first 2 I bought ) tend to be relatively tight fit on some uppers. Dealer tried a few in his inventory on "standard" uppers and all would need to be slightly fit . I bought it anyways and on 10 uppers all were varying degree of tight to no F*#% way they would fit together

Not sure of the current shipment from Milarm since transfer is not complete

Anxious to see the Tan color lower to see if it matches my Tan Cerakote upper. I will post pics when it arrives

If you were purchasing and need a upper anyways, just buy the matched set they have

As far as compared to Vltor upper, they seem very comparable in finish / machine work

The Vltor Mur is actually a forging ( only the very early first gen were billets ) , the Hera is machine from solid billet

Their barrels ( made by ESS Germany ) are button rifled. At first, they seem a bit pricy ( $400ish ) but keep in mind they are nitrocarborized ( melonite ) coated

I'm still trying to decide if I should buy one of their barrels

Not sure if its actually in stock or how the price compares to the VLTOR but these look nice too.
