Just wondering who has tried out the HERA gen2 Sl8 stock kit on their HK? are they good? bad? have any issues?

Thanks
Dave

I've always liked the fonctionnality (and looks!) that this piece of kit gave to the stock SL8. From the reading I've done on it in the SL8 sticky (wink wink, nudge nudge....i kid i kid) the kit goes together fairly well, but some slight mods may be required for proper fitting.

The few things stopping me from doing it is:

- initial cost of an HK SL8, even in the EE
- complete cost of the kit, plus buttstock (either ACR or standard AR w/ the proper adapter)
- the still too long NR barrel.

good to know :) I just read afew guys had some issues with pin hole size and wanted to confirm that was not the norm.

I have a gen 2, and yes had a couple of the pin holes that were tight. I filed off the anodizing inside the holes which did the trick. I realize people might be upset at having to do this on an expensive part, but overall I'm really happy with the kit. Had a problem getting the pin out of the recoil buffer holder and ended up breaking it (the holder, not the pin, stupid mistake) but Wolverine had one in stock which got me going again. The ergonomics are good with the ACR stock and a slightly lower rail. And yes, this is obviously an expensive proposition to build an SL8 but I like mine a lot and am happy with the end result.
