Here is how my first day out with the new rifle went. I tried Remington Subsonic's, Remington Target, Federal Gold Medal and CCI Subsonic (Both Federal and CCI did not cycle well in the rifle. See the Ammo EE forum for these.)

Wind was a little breasy but not bad.

Your gun is shooting low. :D Seeing the targets, you didnt seem to bother adjusting the elvation. :p
What rifle did this grouping?

:D :D I actually ran out of elevation on my scope with my new set up. Good Eye though. I will correct that tomorrow.

Here is a pic of what make those wholes.

I've got some CCI minimags you could try. If you like 'em, I have about a thousand rounds I could sell you.

Don't forget to try the lapau ammo. My 10/22 shot two types of lapau well. I can't remember the names, is it club and target? Both super accurate for me.

quote "Try a little shim under the fron tof the base" should read BACK of the base - you want to raise the point of impact relative to the scope

That's an awfully pretty gun to be wearing shims.
A better and more stable solution would be burris signature rings with at least a -2 insert in the front.

Thanks folks. I took it to a place called The Marksman today in Lethbridge and he put a bore sighter on it and said that there was no problem at all. Had good vertical movement up and down.

I think I have a case of Barrel droop.

I agree, I don't want to put a shim on such a nice rifle. I even suggested the Burris Rings and the fellow ( This time I was at wholesale sports) said that it wouldn't make any difference.

I'd go with the Burris Signature Zee rings with the insert offset kit. They won't leave ring marks on your scope and you can adjust your scope so that the middle of it's elevation/windage is right where you want it. They are a bit pricey ($80?), but you'll keep them forever.

I have a solo ring here that I could use to demonstrate how they work. If you have time to go to the range tomorrow (Saturday) I could bring it and some of my CCI minimags. PM me and we can arrange a time.

Either that or outfitter shop in Langley, or Island outfitters in Victoria. Or whatever... I would second Lapua super club - worth trying, sweetest round I tried so far.
