Here it is ladies and gents, the new Stevens 560.Ran a few shells through it and took it apart for an inspection, its a very well made gun, fits me well out of the box, balances nice for a 26 inch field gun and fit and finish is excellent.Wood is turkish walnut (a lot lighter in person) and oiled finish with very nice checkering, seems like a way more expensive gun really. Trigger guard is extremely well finished ALLOY not plastic and seems very robust, safety is positive click off and on and controls are oversize, the only thing I dont like is the plastic cheapo fiber optic front sight which will get changed. The operating system is a HYBRID type, kind of like a Benelli M4, definitely gas operated but with a different piston arrangement with dual action bars with a recoil tube in the stock like the benelli, even looks a wee bit similar to the benelli. All in all its a smooth shooting extremely well priced gun at $431 US funds, Im sure we will get them up here in a year or so, you cant go wrong with this entry level high quality gun
