Just picked the rifle up at the post office today and the scope showed up at the door an hour later :D

Talley 1 piece alloy rings
Rock Mount 9"-13" Bipod
Falcon Menace 4-14x44

Total is about $2260

First thing I noticed when I got the scope is that the parallax knob doesn't have any sort of range estimation marks. Looks like it all goes by focus estimation....

Got the rifle, rings and bipod from Omeneca Sports and the scope came from Frontier Taxidermy.

The scope isn't properly mounted, I just slightly snugged the screws down so I'll have to do a proper mounting job. Amphibious are going to load up some ammo and go to the range. I'll post a range report as soon as I make it out there ;)

Man is that sweet. Thanks for the post and the pics.

What do you plan on using it for? Target, hunting, zombies?

I really like Remingtons. That one is niiiiiiiiice. That rifle doesn't need a thing, but for my own, I went with an over-sized bolt knob. I added a few other things. It carries 26 rounds (8 on sling, 10 on butt stock and 7 + 1 in magazine extender). I really like the Remington stocks although I have thought about moving up to a McMillan A4 one day. Maybe I never will. I used Burris XTR scope rings.

Thanks :) My plan is target (probably under 500yds) and hunting. It should be more than light enough to hunt with. I just weighed it and it comes in at a little under 9.5lbs without the bipod.

What's the LOP on that stock? what's the barrel length? Looks like a midgets gun.

Just messing with ya, looks cool, but seriously what's the barrel & LOP?
it is a "compact" tactical ;) LOP is 13 3/8" and the bbl is 20"

It's feels very comfortable to sit behind.

I wouldn't sweat the lack of ranges listed on the parallax. My leupolds and nightforce don't have that either, and they seem to do ok ;) Those things are always off anyhow.

First time seeing that design, I'm not sure how to feel about the shorter barrel. It's a nice enough looking rig though.

It really does look exactly like an LTR. Definitely a nice rifle, but I remain a fan of the black LTR, Police and older VS style HS Precision stocks over the newer green and tan stocks offered with most of the XCR & VSSF rifles these days. Doubtlessly, "she'll" be a shooter right out of the box. No need to swap out the stock trigger either. Easy as pie to adjust a Remmy trigger yourself.

It looks good, for a Remington.:p Actually it is a very nice looking rifle and I'm a fan of the 20" barrels. If I rebarrel my Savage I will be going to 20".

If anyone knows of a good scope mounting tutorial, please, let me know!

yeah, this is a much pricier unit though.

Stainless steel with the Trinyte coating
40-X externally adjustable trigger
And the stock is MUCH lighter.

The rifle comes in at under 7lbs without the trimmings. Those HS precision stocks are boat anchors... which is fine if you're BR shooting.

scope levelling tutorial...

If you think hs precision is heavy, you should feel a Mcmillan with sniper fill... think you better start lifting weights lol

here a sps tactical with a HS-ltr stock. they do have the same style though.
I would like a stainless fluted barel as well would like to try one of those triggers, I adjusted mine to about 3.5lbs but don't think I will go any further.
By the time I do a new jewal trigger I will be getting closer to the value of yours. thats the one I wanted but it was out of my price range at the time.

GRRR. The damn thing won't feed the last rnd from the magazine. Looks like the follower isn't pushing it up enough in the front and the bullet is catching on the bottom RHS of the feed ramp

Anyone else experienced this? Is there a simple fix?
