My first reloads!

385620.jpg

These are 30-06, 165gr Sierra GameKings, on 54 grains of IMR4350, Federal brass and CCI 200 primers. They should go a modest 2650 fps or so from my Model 700 Mountain Rifle.

Thanks to catnthehat for the advice and instructions!

Tomorrow, the 45/70!

I use the same load with 165 gr Hornady Interbonds in my A-bolt. Let us know what they group like after a range trip. Reloading is lots of fun. Even better when my 10 year old want's to learn too!!

They look deadly alright. :) Hope they shoot accurately in your gun. You should load up 5 rds in a particular charge and either go up or down in small increments. Hit the range and see how each charge shoots. Check brass for overpressure signs. This way you can find your optimum load and can tweak it more with you OAL. Happy blasting.:)

I know i know. Its your first batch and you couldnt stop because its so rewarding.:D
