Finally I've turned an interest into a real-world hobby. I've been interested in firearms for 20+ years, and now i'm about to get liscensced and buy my first gun. I'd appreciate all advice.

Watch, listen, follow the news. More importently become active in your area for sensible firearms legislation. Buying and using a firearm is as easy as identfying your needs and wants then buying. However! If you want a future in this sport, get mailing, phoning and talking positively about it to everyone, MP's preferably.
