heres a stupid question

When using the proper neck sizing die I do not use lube unless dry lube for inside case mouth, for Full length sizing or some form of partial sizing I lube case body never the neck/shoulder of case, except, again, a dry lube if required inside case neck.

when lubing I put a bunch of cases in a plastic zip lock bag, spray 2 shots of my RCBS lub in the bag roll them around and go to town, NEVER had any problems with this. never used LEE lube hope this helps ... lol

For neck sizing, I lube ONLY the inside of the neck.
I have a small container half full of #8 shot, mixed into it is powdered graphite.
I dip and twist the case neck into the shot, wipe the outside of the neck off, and size away.
For FL sizing, same procedure for the neck, then a very, very light application of Imperial Die Wax to the body, but NOT the shoulder or neck.
Wipe case clean after sizing....load away!

They are saying do not lube the shoulders of a case, because you'll get dents. I only dry-lube the inside of a neck before full length sizing.

I am also in the wet lube the body, none on the shoulder and dry lube the neck crowd. Beats q-tips for inside lubing, plus a bit of graphite wont hurt powder, a bit of wet lube can!!

Reading the tube of lube from LEE it says not to lube the shoulders of the case so for neck sizing only is it needed? Or do I just jube just the neck?

When I neck size my 308 brass I don't use any lube, period.

When I full-length resize my 308 brass, I roll the body on a lube pad. There is no lube on the outside of the case at the neck or shoulders. I do use a q-tip an lube the inside of the neck. You need to be sure to clean the lube out of the throat after resizing, or powder can stick.

Being the lazy ass that I am, lay the cases on a cookie sheet and I use Lyman's spray lube. I can lube 50 cases inside and out in about 3 seconds and it goes on thin enough that it does not matter if you get some on the shoulder (no dents).

i personaly squeeze a bit of lube out between my fingers and lube each case a little as i pick them up if you lube the neck you will dent the cases.you only need a little use sparingly..
