They any good? I've heard of such rifles floating around but haven't yet heard anything of it. I'm afraid to look up youtube vids on them because there's a good chance they're not honest reviews.

It seems alright, built a lot like the Henry rimfires
The center fire models are supposedly built by Rossi

Rossi discontinued the 92 rifle and came out with the Heritage line
Heritage frame is 'alloy steel'........had me wondering but then the barrel material is 'alloy steel' also
Have read of owners with both rifles and like them both, and both can have feeding issues
like many leverguns, ammo oal and bullet shape make a difference

Have the Settler in full length 20" and a Mares 12.5".
Both shoot well, even with alloy frames.
Made by Taurus (partnership with Rossi).
All that said...
They don't compare to older Win 9422 or Marlin 39a for action smoothness which are all-steel.
