Heritage Manufactoring Inc. .22 Revolvers?

I am looking/NEEDING to get a .22 pistol for shooting as shooting 9mm all the time is starting to burn a big hole into my pocket. I am wanting a .22LR in revolver form only. I like Ruger firearms and really like their Ruger Single Six but do not want to pay the price tag for one......it's not worth it to me for the price of one I can almost buy another semi auto pistol. I like the Heritage Manufactring Inc. revolvers Frontier Firearms has on their site and the price tag is right.....either $349.99 or $399.99 for the model with the adjustable sights. These are .22LR/.22WMR guns and hold 6 shots, single action. Anyone have any first hand exp. with them? Worth it? Junk? ect.

Of the two, I would get the Single Six. You are far less likely to regret spending too much than not enough. I don't really buy into the "it's just a .22 argument"; why cheap out on something you're going to be using a lot?

I would also seriously consider a used S&W Model 17 (aka K-22 Masterpiece). They're lovely guns that tend to increase in value over time if well cared for.

I don't know about the differences in price, U.S. Vs. Canada, but My Son-in-law bought a new Heritage .22LR/.22 Mag, 6.5" W/Rosewood grips about a month ago. It sold new here @ Grice Gunshop for $179.00 + Pa. tax. I shot it last weekend, & was rather impressed with the trigger, & the accuracy, especially with the .22 Mag's.

It strikes me as a good deal for the price He paid down here. Especially when the Ruger is well over $400.00 here. Some people raising a family, are just unable come up with $400 + regardless of Ruger's quality. So, it's good to have an option that fits your budget.
