I tend to agree with the idea of letting nature run its course with minimal interference, although we've already interfered by changing the migratory habits of geese; they certainly weren't wintering in most areas of Canada before the smorgasbord of crop fields was presented to them by large-scale agriculture. So "they were here first" isn't entirely accurate through much of the year.
But enough side-tracks about geese and CWS and permits and such! This may be CGN's very first Heron Defense Thread; let's give it the respect it deserves!
