Just got in mail Herter's Super model 81 single stage, dual ram press

Has anyone any experience with these heavy presses?

I have a single ram model kicking around somewhere in the "hoard". It's probably sunk to the bottom of the heap

They do not use a standard size shell plate but there are adapters on the market notably RCBS (RCBS Herters Press Shellholder Adapter)

What's the idea behind it? Size one side, seat on the other?

I got it to reload 338 Lapua. The Lee custom Collet and seating dies are 1 1/4".
