... What's the farthest out you've (successfully!) gone target shooting or simply hit what you were aiming at?

Not sure if this has ever been asked since, strangely, the search function returns nothing for 'longest' and 'farthest' in the Precision sub-forum.

Thanks for the feedback!

p.s. Pics or it didn't happen ;):p

1100M for fun at steel gongs, and 900m for score on paper targets.

I would like to try for a mile when the fields dry up. (Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge to poster above).

'sOK Redman, I know who he's winkin' at! I have 4 freshly painted gongs at my 1-mile range, and between us and those gongs are tens of thousands of suicial gophers needing a Prozac and 4000fps in the kisser. They don't come out for another 6 weeks...

Hell, with my DE .50AE the flame itself goes 6 feet.

4 ATRS 50s were at Summerland in 08 I know 3 of them hit the targets at 2400 MTRS repeatedly. And 1 hammered the mark at 1 mile repeatedly. Sorry no pics just lots of witnesses. Not sure if that counts though. The problem with wanting photo evidence at REAL long range is that we many of us go shooting we shoot rifles not cameras. Many of the targets are rocks or barrels in opportune places that can be ranged and spotted, but not easily walked up to.
I have a photo of a deer I shot at about 750 yards, but consider that real close range for a 50.
If videos count? This my 50 at work shooting at 1071 yards, which is still close range

see really far away were the earth kinda ends on the ridge line in this photo. its about 7km away. not even max range.

not a .50 but target shooting at least.

There is a scrap tank hull way up there u cant see in the photo. full of holes. along with a bunch of other ply wood truck cut outs n stuff.
